ECE 520 Digital ASIC Design

This course teaches the fundamentals needed to be a standard-cell ASIC designer, including design issues and knowledge of tools. The concepts presented here can be used in the design of standard-cell ASICs as well as FPGAs. The course has a large project which deals with designing a complex digital system with an aim to optimze design for power, area and speed.

Milestone 1 report "Project plan: Functional Verification"

Final Project Report "Design of an utterance matcher for speech recognition"

ECE 703 Integrated Bio-electronic Circuits

ECE 792D Data Converters

This is an advanced level graduate course dealing with design of data converter circuits. Topics covered include performance parameters of ADCs & DACs, basic building blocks of ADCs & DACs (sample-hold circuits, comparators, op-amps, filters) and various architectures of data converters.
